Are my PDFs uploaded to your server? ⌄
By default, headPDF processes files locally in your browser (client-side). That means your PDFs stay on your device. If we ever add server-based tools, they’ll be clearly marked inside the tool before you upload anything.
Can you see the files I upload? ⌄
No. headPDF does not see, read, or store your PDF files. Most tools run locally in your browser, so files never leave your device.
What information do you collect about my files? ⌄
We collect only anonymous technical statistics such as the number of processed files and their total size. We do not collect file contents, text, images, page data, or filenames. This information is used only to improve the product.
Merge PDF
Open Merge →How do I merge PDF files? ⌄
Add PDFs → open Options (optional) → reorder, rotate or delete pages → click Merge → download the final PDF.
Is there a file size limit? ⌄
With local processing, limits depend on your device and browser. Very large PDFs may be slower on mobile devices.
Split PDF
Open Split →Can I split only specific pages? ⌄
Yes. Use Options to preview pages, delete what you don’t need, and then split the remaining selection into new files.
Do I get separate PDFs or one file? ⌄
You’ll download a ZIP file that contains multiple PDFs (for example: one per page or per range).
Why does splitting fail for some PDFs? ⌄
Some PDFs are encrypted or protected and may block editing by design. Try unlocking the PDF first if you have permission.
Troubleshooting
Contact support →The page is slow or freezes ⌄
Large PDFs can be heavy for mobile devices. Try desktop, close other tabs, and process fewer pages at once.
Nothing downloads ⌄
Check if a browser extension blocks downloads or popups. On iOS, downloads may behave differently depending on the browser.
How to send a good bug report? ⌄
Email us with the tool name, steps (upload → options → run), browser, OS, and the error text from DevTools console.
Still stuck?
Email us and we’ll help you figure it out.
